About At Home Silver Care
& Its Creator
For the past decade, I have been providing senior care in and around my hometown of Oxford, OH. Looking for part-time income to supplement my small catering business, I became a caregiver for a local agency. It was a tremendous learning experience and I enjoyed my clients but I felt limited and knew I had more to offer. Many of my catering customers naturally shifted into becoming care receivers and soon I was providing senior care full time. Since then, I have cared for many residents in the Oxford community, building not only my name and reputation but meaningful, lasting relationships as well. With the word of mouth support of family, friends, care receivers and the Oxford community, I have created At Home Silver Care, LLC in order to offer senior companion care to even more people in the area.
There is such a great need for non-medical companion care for those who are starting to struggle to get through the day completely on their own. It is my passion to help those very people, to make their day a little easier, a little less confusing and overwhelming, a little less lonely. Helping them find new ways to continue doing things they love to do but find difficult, nourishing their bodies with good nutrition and fellowship over meals, listening when they reminisce about days gone by, taking them out for milkshakes, supporting them through difficult medical diagnoses and treatments, holding their hands when they leave this world. I never know what each new companionship will bring but it always brings friendship, learning, fulfillment and purpose.
I want more people in our community to experience the amazing benefits of senior companion care and know that there is a community there to support them. I look forward to At Home Silver Care becoming an integral part of our community, promoting local businesses and fostering relationships with each other while looking out for our senior citizens. I also take pride in those who choose to work for At Home Silver Care. My Personal Care Assistants are my greatest assets and I value each and every one. As an employer, it is my goal that each PCA knows and feels how important they are and how much I appreciate that they choose to be a part of At Home Silver Care.
